This book is a follow up to Michelle Gorman’s ‘The Curvy Girls Club’ which was published earlier this year. I was honoured to be asked to read it by the publishers in exchange for an honest review and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.
The three main characters Ellie, Jane and Katie have returned for a second time but this time they are battling their food and weight demons for a different reason. All three friends have found out that they are expecting babies.
It was so lovely to read about their experiences and how they often compared their unborn babies to pieces of fruit, muffins and other edible stuffs. It was great to catch up with them and the curvy girls club that they founded. I also enjoyed reading about their other halves (which are definitely too good to be true)!
What made this book especially enjoyable for me is the fact that it’s set at Christmas time and I love any book that is festive. Parts of the book are laugh out loud funny and doesn’t take itself too seriously.
A very enjoyable, light hearted, easy to read Novella for Michelle Gorman fans. Thank you to Notting Hill Press for my advanced reading copy of this book.
