A Room with a View!

Everybody loves a good view. Be it a hotel room with a view that you enjoy whilst sipping cocktails or a natural view that you just come across and cant help but snap. It might be a historic landmark, a famous sign or simply something that catches your eye. Its hard to deny that a good view makes us smile and stays in our memories forever. On my recent trip around America I took in so many vistas that its only right I share them with you. Here is a collection of the best ones we came across.

This is by far my favourite view. Venice Beach, the sign famous to many…hangs over Windward Avenue, just west of the Pacific.

Hollywood from the Hills and the Hollywood sign. They don’t come more iconic than that.

Stunning Sunny California. The view at sunset from The Huntley Hotel, Santa Monica and the view from our little hire car of Big Sur on Route 101 – Pacific Coast Highway.

The Empire State Building from New York’s 230 Roof Bar and Terrace.

Viva Las Vegas…the view from our room in the MGM Grand Signature tower at night. You can see (and hear) Wet Republic, lazy rivers and the airport in the distance.

Imagine this being your daily lunch break view or run route. Some people are lucky enough to stare at the Golden Gate Bridge every single day.

This was a view I never thought I would see. Do you remember Mrs Doubtfire!? Well this is the very houses it was filmed. Known famously as the Victorian Ladies. These listed buildings are private homes, and have outstanding views of Downtown San Francisco in the background. The other picture is of the sea lions who have taken up residency in Fisherman’s Wharf, Pier 39.

These were the views and scenes from Alcatraz Island. San Francisco Bay and Angel Island.

The View from the bottom and the view from the top. The One world Trade Centre and One World Observatory. The 5th tallest building in the world. The views are simply stunning. With 360 degree views of New York City and Brooklyn.
